Is this about becoming an internet star or flexing my fishing knowledge? Nope. Not even a little.

You won't find hot takes, clickbait, product promos or me pretending every day on the water is a home run. This is simply an open diary of what I'm experiencing on the water with my clients, friends, and on scouting trips. If I'm on the water, you will see it here.

I'll share what I expected, what actually happened, the decisions I made, what worked, what didn't, and what I learned along the way. Some days we'll catch trophy fish with clients. Some days the fishing gods just aren't smiling on us. That's fishing. More importantly, that's how we learn and get better - or at least that's how I do it. There has never been a better teacher than time on the water, getting things wrong until you figure out how to do them right.

My hope is that you'll find something here that's useful, something you can relate to, or maybe something that shortens your own learning curve. I've had a lot of people help me throughout my fishing career, and if sharing these experiences helps pay that forward in some small way, then it's absolutely worth it.
