During these months, snook become highly active and often move into shallow water to feed along mangrove shorelines, grass flats, sandy points, and tidal creeks.

That said, the best time to catch snook on any given day is usually determined more by tide movement than by the season itself. The most productive periods are often the first part of an incoming tide or the last portion of an outgoing tide, when moving water concentrates bait and creates feeding opportunities.

During the summer months, snook frequently feed early in the morning before the heat of the day sets in. In cooler weather, they tend to hold in deeper canals, channels, and protected shorelines where water temperatures remain more stable.
