Whether it's your family's first fishing trip or you've been fishing for years, my goal is simple—make your day on the water easy, enjoyable, and memorable. Every Tightlines Charter is private, so your trip is customized around your group, your experience level, and the conditions that day. You don't need to know how to cast, tie knots, or bait a hook before you arrive. I'll guide you through everything at whatever pace you're comfortable with. If you're an experienced angler who wants to throw artificials or sight fish, we can do that too.
From the moment you step aboard until we return to the dock, the focus is on creating a relaxed, productive day on the water and memories you'll take home long after your vacation ends. Learn more of What to Expect Here.

ST JOSEPHS SOUND
Protected grass flats, turtle grass beds, spoil islands, and hidden backwaters make this one of the Gulf Coast's most diverse and productive inshore fisheries.

CLEARWATER HARBOR
The mangrove shorelines of Caladesi Island and huge turtle grass flats create outstanding habitat for redfish, snook, trout, and seasonal tarpon.
Redfish are one of the most popular inshore species in Clearwater Harbor, commonly found on shallow grass flats, oyster bars, and mangrove shorelines. Known for their power and aggressive strikes, they are perfect for sight fishing and will eat both artificial lures and live bait.
A top target year-round for anglers of all skill levels.
Snook are hard-hitting ambush predators that thrive around docks, mangroves, and bridges throughout Clearwater Harbor and the surrounding Gulf Coast. Famous for explosive strikes and strong fights, they are a favorite among experienced anglers. Snook fishing is best in warmer months when they are most active and feeding aggressively.

Speckled trout are one of the most consistent and fun inshore species in Clearwater Harbor, often found over grass flats in large numbers. Great for beginners and families, trout provide steady action and will hit a variety of artificial lures and live bait.
Bigger “gator trout” offer an exciting fight and are a prized catch.
Tarpon are the ultimate inshore gamefish, known as the “Silver King” for their size, strength, and acrobatic jumps. Each year, large migratory tarpon move through our area from May through August, offering anglers a chance to hook into a true bucket-list fish. Tarpon fishing is the most exciting season in Florida!

I love being on the water with friends, new and old! Florida has it all and then some! As a full-time inshore fishing guide based in Palm Harbor, my goal is simple — show you a fun, productive, and memorable day on the water. Come see why I love being on the water 300+ days a year in this sportsman’s paradise.
Purpose built here on the Gulf Coast by T&B Boatworks, specifically for our flats and mangrove shorelines. The 19' Florida Fisher was built with one thing in mind, finding big fish in shallow water! Its shallow draft lets us quietly reach grass flats, mangrove shorelines and oyster bars that many larger boats simply can't fish. Comfortable for four anglers to sight cast big redfish, snook and tarpon as they cruise the mangrove edges and flats.
